Boom Boom Boom- Road Infrastructure Boom

More recently, Union Transportation minister Kamal Nath has unfolded a variety of projects for the development of the Indian highway structures. Millions of dollars of construction have been planned in the next five years and comprise of thousands of kilometers of highways and expressways throughout the country with only one mission: to make connectivity better.
This past decade, India has seen a tremendous boom not only in the economy, but also infrastructure wise. True, that the infrastructure has been unsuccessful in meeting the growing demands of the growing population, but taking into account, the red tape bureaucracy, and filthy political drama, a number of infrastructure projects have been successful. The best examples have been the Delhi Metro, Bangalore and Hyderabad International airports, Ahmedabad BRTS, and last but not the least, the Bandra Worli Sea Link.
There is a rise in the growth of road projects. In recent news, Anil Ambani's Reliance Infrastructure (Rel Infra) bagged a road project worth Rs 590 crore from the National Highway Authority of India to build, design, operate, finance, and maintain the 50-odd kilometer road stretch connecting Jainpur and Reengus in Rajasthan.
Similarly, projects worth thousands of crores have been launched in Haryana and will be implemented to construct roads, bridges, and highways in the state.
In a very inspiring speech, Nath willfully throw upon the possibilities of achieving his target of building 20 kilometers of roads every day nd thereby amounting to nearly 7000 km of roads per year. A dream far stretched, but yet within reach considering the manpower and the brain power that India possesses.
