The much awaited sea link's opening has yet been delayed from May 1 2009 to June 2.

While they say it is due to the upcoming elections and their code of conducts, there might be a slight hint of the sea link not being completed on time. This is just going to be another excuse for them to delay the sea link's opening.

Reliance-Hyundai likely to bag Worli-Haji Ali project

The announcement of Worli-Haji Ali stretch of the sealink going to the Reliance-Hyundai consortium seems to be a mere formality now. The MSRDC has recommended to the state that the consortium—which has quoted the lowest government share in the project expenses—should be considered for the contract. “However, the state will announce its final decision only after the elections because the code of conduct is now in place,’’ said MSRDC chairman Vimal Mundada.
