Bandra Worli Sea Link Construction in Google Earth.
Update: April 3, 2008

Some of the pictures have been loaded in the website. However you can view the pictures here as well.
In the update of the sea link, the south bound carriage way of the sea link will be available for access to the people as early as December 2008. The North carriageway might take a longer time and the estimated time is May 2009.

However a lot of progress has been made in recent times. The cable-stayed towers at Bandra End seems to be upcoming quickly and cables have begun to be added on the towers as well. The construction on the Worli Side is picking up slowly, but will accelerate once the work on the Bandra Side is completed. Also keeping in mind the monsoons, the planners are trying to hurry up to get as much as done before the start of monsoons.

In another planning of opening an additional sea link that from Haji Ali and Nariman Point will all be connected to Bandra Worli Sea Link. However it might take a lot of time and work to even complete this. An exit ramp is being planned in such a way so that people from Bandra will be able to exit at Worli. People from Bandra can also continue to take further south to Haji Ali and Nariman Point. Not much has been talked about this, but if it materializes, then going from Bandra to Worli will be just a matter of 10-15 minutes. This might take upto 2020 to even finish considering the politics and bureaucracy in India.
